Couple Coaching Programs
Overview

Step 1 - How do I find out about coaching?

Relationship coaching intrigues me. My marriage definitely needs help. Coaching might be able to help, but I don’t know enough about it. Where do I begin?

  • Do background reading in the free Sample Articles collection of Dr. Sanford’s writings on relationship skills, coaching and counseling.
  • Check FAQs for answers to many questions about coaching.
  • Sign up for the 45-minute free Introduction to Relationship Coaching Informational Teleclass.
  • Have an individual or couple 50-minute telephone Personal Coaching Consultation with Dr. Sanford.

Step 2 - How do we begin our own coaching?

It seems possible to my partner and me that with the help of relationship coaching, we may be able solve our problems and build a relationship that we are both happy with. We are ready to try our own coaching. What do we do?

The first step into active coaching is the required five-session Foundation Coaching.

  • For individual coaching –
    • One 90-minute session
    • four 45-minute sessions
  • For couples coaching -
    • One 90-minute couple session
    • Two individual 45-minute sessions – one for each partner and
    • Two 45-minute couple sessions.

Step 3 - After Foundation Coaching, what is next?

I have finished the Foundation Coaching program and definitely want to continue – in some capacity. What are my options?

You have several options

  • You may treat the Foundation Program as the beginning and continue your coaching program – stay with or change to telephone couples coaching, individual coaching or group coaching.
  • You may continue to work toward your relationship or personal goals - but without coaching. As a graduate of the Foundations Program, you may keep your membership in the Practice Community, even if you aren’t actively involved in coaching. You could use Practice Community relationships for peer learning and support, continue to use your blog for journaling, take online site courses as they become available and do your own work – without working with a coach – then resume coaching later on, if you wished.

After completing the Foundation Program, subject to availability you may –
